P8-Road to Reno-Chapter 2Shit!
Leaf quickly turned and ran behind the building running into a very narrow alley. Her sneakers hit the uneven surface of the concrete and she stumbled a few times, her hands quickly touching the ground to push herself back up. Sweat came down her forehead and into her eyes, making them sting with an enormous amount of pain. Her eyes began to water and she quickly wiped the tears away, not wanting to have blurry vision and end up tripping or running into something to get caught.
A loud growl mixed with a snarl made Lead turn her head and the pupil of her brown eyes shrank an enormous amount. The two men behind her were no long men. They were now large wild dogs, mouths open in an evil grin and sharp teeth flashing in the mid darkness. Their red eyes glowed a deep but bright red and she could tell from the looks of them they showed bloodlust. The two men...or animals wanted to kill Leaf right then and there.
She could hear their footsteps getting louder and when she turned h

Project 8-Road to RenoDay 1
Leaf Moon sat in the shadows next to a disturbed building, sweat streaking down the side of her face and blood running oozing out of her nose. She wiped a torn sleeve across her face leaving streaks of blood on her already half stained shirt. Her light brown eyes eyed the stain wearily, taking in the image. Ever since Leaf had arrived into Frostlorn her nose wouldn't stop bleeding. This was pissing her off.
Letting out a small grunt she had lifted herself up, grabbing the tattered backpack that was next to her and looked around. Her russet colored ears twitched and swilved above her head trying to find any kind of noise to find any living beings here. So far she had ran out of luck. She had seen no plant life, no animal life and definately...no Reno.
Leaf couldn't remember the last time she had seen Reno. All she knew was he was her best friend and one day all of that changed. In the back of her mind Leaf could only see a dark day and then waking up far away in some woodla
To depression, for creating days without endWake up to the realization that you've been awake
for seconds, minutes, hours.
You've been awake in this warm, dark room
and you don't know how long it's been
but now you're conscious
and it starts again--
the pain, strong and steady, in your chest.
You gain consciousness in this too warm morning
and your thoughts whir in endless loops
because it's either that or face the weight in your chest.
Light breaks though the window, soft and unwelcome
but you take it as a reluctant gift--
a new distraction from the feelings awake in your chest.
Awake, but not conscious.
So you think yourself in circles a little while longer
waiting for those quiet pains
(the constant reminder)
to gain consciousness.
